Activities at Crown Point

Crown Point Camping Area offers a full range of activities throughout the summer season. These include theme weekends and planned weekend activities for both adults and children. Regular events include Bingo, fire truck ride, potluck dinners, weekend BBQ’s, ice cream socials, and Saturday night bonfires. All activities start at the event tent across from the main office. If none of these strike your fancy – or you prefer to do things on your own – we offer a playground, shuffleboard, horseshoes, basketball, mini-golf, and fishing.

Nearby, you’ll find a boat launch, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and more. Then in winter, the campground offers direct access to the VAST snowmobile trail network. What more could you possibly want in camping?

May 6	Clean Up Weekend / Potluck Dinner Hotdogs and Hamburgers for anyone who helped, and bonfire.
May 14	Mother’s Day Coffee and pastries for all mothers.
May 27-30	Memorial Day Weekend May 27: Shuffleboard tournament, Cornhole tournament, Candy Bar Bingo, firetruck rides, and DJ/karaoke. May 28: Bonfire, scavenger hunt, firetruck rides / adult only firetruck ride.

June 18	Father’s Day Coffee and pastries for all dads.
June 24	Craft/Yard Sale

July 1-4	Fourth of July July 1: Shuffleboard tournament, Cornhole tournament, bike parade, Annual Lobster Clam Bake ($), and site decorating contest. July 2: ADULT ONLY Single size wine bottle Bingo.
July 8	Shuffleboard tournament, cornhole tournament, rock painting, site decorating contest, firetruck rides and bonfire.
July 15	Ice Cream Social, Hors d’Oeuvre Pot Luck.
July 21-24	Welcome Connecticut Air Stream Club, firetruck rides, bonfire.

August 5	Chili Cookoff.

September 1-4	Labor Day Weekend September 2: Celebrate Halloween, site decorating contest, trick or treating, pumpkin carving, costume contest at bonfire/pumpkin lighting. September 3: Shuffleboard tournament, cornhole tournament, firetruck rides, live band.
September 12-18	Welcome Western Mass/Connecticut Winnebago Club.
September 16	Firetruck rides, Seasonal Only BBQ, bonfire.

October 9	Closing Day Everyone must be out of the park by NOON.

All events and dates are subject to change without notice and are held weather permitting. For potlucks, please bring a covered dish or dessert. You must bring your own plates, utensils and beverage.
